First thing to do after checked in is load MRT EasyCard, cost NT$500, which include a NT$100 deposit and NT$400 in transit credits.
We are at Nanjing East Road station, few steps away from our hotel.
Found Din Tai Fung inside the Sogo building.
The time was around 11am, still early to meet the lunch traffic. We managed to get our table within few minutes.
Xiao long bao- skin is too thick and meat not juicy.
Heung phin Chinese tea- very kao (thick) and yet not too tannin.
Zhar jiang la mien- taste not bad but the mee a but overcooked and too soft. I think they need to roll few more rounds for the la mien to be more chewy.
La mien with beef soup based- the soup was very tasty, must add some chilly oil.
Fried rice with pork chop- I would only say perfect carbs for hungry stomach.
Pork buns- the meat is very juicy
Overall food is only average standard but the service is very efficient and fast. Total bill was Ntd755, reasonable.
